Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Dandruff: Having dandruff is somewhat more common than you imagine. This condition of the scalp occurs when the microorganisms of our skin grow more than necessary; It may be due to stress, changes in your diet, or hormonal fluctuations. No matter the cause, the important thing is that we have several natural treatments that you can do at home to get rid of it.

  1. Aspirin:

Aspirin contains the same active component (salicylic acid) found in most anti-dandruff medicated shampoos. Keep flaking under control by crushing two aspirins until they turn to powder and adding them to the normal amount of shampoo you use when you wash your hair. Leave the mixture for one or two minutes, rinse well and wash again with your regular shampoo.

  1. Tea tree oil:

One study showed that shampoos with just 5% tea tree oil significantly improve dandruff severity. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your favorite shampoo, and wash as you normally do.

  1. Baking soda:

Your kitchen has the secret to a hair free of dandruff. Moisten your hair, then rub a handful of baking soda vigorously on your scalp. Skip the shampoo and go straight to the rinse part; Baking soda reduces the overactive fungus that can cause this discomfort. Your hair will feel a bit dry at first, but after a few weeks your scalp will begin to produce natural oils, leaving your hair softer and free of dandruff.

  1. Apple cider vinegar:

The acidity of apple cider vinegar changes the pH of your scalp, making it more difficult for the fungus to grow. Mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water and place it in a spray bottle that you can spray on your head. Wrap your hair in a towel and let it take effect for at least 15 minutes (up to an hour). Then wash your hair as you usually do. Repeat this procedure twice a week.

  1. Mouthwash:

To treat a serious case of dandruff, wash your hair with the usual shampoo, then rinse with an alcohol-based mouthwash and finish with your regular conditioner. The antifungal properties of mouthwash help prevent fungus that causes dandruff to grow.

  1. Coconut oil:

Coconut oil has been shown to be a very effective treatment against dandruff, and also leaves a pleasant smell on the hair.

Before showering, massage 3-5 tablespoons of coconut oil on your scalp and let it sit for an hour. Apply shampoo normally. Another option is to look for a shampoo that already contains coconut oil.
