It is important to keep the affected area dry and clean and wear only loose cotton clothes. This brings down the symptoms to a large extent. To avoid irritation avoid using perfumed detergents of fabric softeners.

Aloe Vera is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. This is known to heal swelling, itching, wounds and other disorders of the skin. Applying aloe vera in the affected area is definitely comforting as this can bring down the level of pain and discomfort.

  1. Drinking water:

A specific change in life-style helps in bringing down the discomfort due to piles. Research has proved that piles are caused by dehydration. Ensure your intake of water is more than required. Try drinking only boiled and filtered water ad stay away from all those sodas and aerated drinks.

  1. Food rich in Fiber:

Fiber is an essential requirement of the human body, especially if you are facing problems with the bowel movement. Water is absorbed by fiber and this can soften the bowels.

  1. Castor Oil:

Castor oil has a number of positive properties which work well when you are treating piles. These include anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial. This can thus, reduce the pain and the size of the piles. You can consume around 3ml of castor oil every night for fast relief.

  1. Salads:

Intake of cucumber every day helps in managing piles. You can also add carrots to your bowl of salads as these are not only anti-inflammatory but also anti-oxidant and help in curing piles.

  • You also need to consult a doctor if you experience any dizziness, fainting or lightheadedness along with a bloody stool.
