You need at least 7 to 8 hours of quality sleep sans any distractions and disturbances.

Exercise is a ‘must’ not only for heart problems but also for the overall immunity of your system. You can start off with moderate – intensity exercise and continue to the more intense one. Make sure you choose an exercise which you enjoy so that continuing this is no big problem. This needs to be done on a routine basis for boosting the immune system and tackling different health problems.

For the required intake of Vitamin D, it is important to get some sunlight. This means, go for that regular walk early in the morning when the sun is not too harsh. You tend to feel as ‘bright’ as the sun.

You find that most of us tend to concentrate on vitamins, proteins, minerals and, other nutrients and go lax with the antioxidants. Increase the intake of antioxidants for a boost to your immunity. These antioxidants are molecules like beta carotene, Vitamin C and more. The best sources of antioxidants are whole fruits and vegetables, nuts, legumes and, seeds. You can also add turmeric, green tea, cocoa, and spices like cloves, cinnamon, and oregano for the required antioxidants.

Pepper is one spice which is available in most homes. All you need to do is make sure you add this to most of your foods. Pepper is also considered as an anti-bacterial that can help keep the toxins at bay.

These citrus fruits increase the production of the white blood cells, which, in turn can fight different infections. Not only is spinach a good source of Vitamin C, but this is also known to be rich in antioxidants. Due to the presence of this, the ability of your body to fight infections tends to get easier. To get a maximum benefit of spinach, ensure this is not over-cooked.
